2021 Wedding Trends Predicitions

COVID-19 has bought many changes to the way the world works, one being how your wedding day may be run. With fewer people allowed to attend, and venue restrictions, you may need to find a way to adjust your celebration. This doesn't mean there won't be a celebration. Keep reading to find out what my predictions for the upcoming year will be.

Delayed Celebrations

The top of the list for this year and even the last year has to be delayed celebration. Keep your original date, there is no need to cancel it! Gather your immediate family or a few close friends and have an intimate wedding. Maybe just keep the day special for you and your partner. Host your own wedding, have your first dance, and eat the cake all by yourselves. Make your day special! Once restrictions are eased or lifted altogether, you can arrange a celebration with all the people you had initially invited.

Informal Gatherings

I'm sure by now you know someone that has had a zoom-wedding. Well, my next prediction is that they will become more and more common. Maybe someone will even invent an app just for it? Your close friends and family members can attend in person, but those who are overseas can also be apart of the day even when there are travel restrictions. With less cost per head, you can even send them a nice box of goodies to help celebrate.

Fresh Air

There are tighter restrictions on indoor weddings, so why not have one outside. This way, if you have more guests coming from all around, you can ensure social distancing seats. Your choice of location is endless. Beach, park, forest, botanical gardens. What would your choice be?

Prolonged Celebrations

If you do decide to postpone your wedding, you could perhaps have an extended celebration, maybe even a little holiday. This may sound expensive but with enough time and planning, it will be more than manageable. Invite fewer people, and give people an estimate of how much they might need to contribute.

We are all hoping things will improve this year but just in case it happens at a slower rate than expected, here are a few trends to hop on.
