A Venue Fit for You
Finding the perfect wedding venue is a big deal and is no small task. There are many things to consider, and it will set the tone for your wedding. It may be an overwhelming task, but I am here to help ease your mind and make it exciting.
Here are my top 8 tips for choosing the best wedding venue for you:
One - Keep an open mind
Not every venue will take your breath away immediately, but with the help of a little imagination and hard work, an unexpected venue may make your wedding day perfect! Think about different themes, locations, and ideas. It does not have to be traditional in any sense. Your options are only limited to your imagination.
Two - Select your space
Make sure that your venue can accommodate the number of people that will be celebrating with you. Whether that is a great hall for 300 guests or an intimate space for 15, it is important that to ensure your guests are comfortable.
Three - Hire fee inclusions
First, consider how much you are willing to spend on a venue and take it from there. Different venues will provide different wedding packages and you can choose one that is most suited to you. See which venues include tables and chairs, crockery and cutlery, waiters, bar staff, caterers, and any other services. This will have an impact on whether you decide to choose them or not. It is 100% possible to find the perfect venue on the lowest budget.
Four - Stay true to you
It is your day and you can decorate the wedding however you like. Talk to your partner and come up with a theme and design you both like. Go on Pinterest, or Instagram, or google some ideas for inspiration but do not let it overtake your unique vision.
Five - Consider the location
It is important to choose a location that will suit you and your guests. If you are planning on having a large wedding it is a good idea to choose an easily accessible location. It is also good to consider whether any of your guests may have trouble with stairs or steep slopes. On the other hand, if you are having a destination wedding, you may want to consider if the guests have budgeted to meet you at the tropical island or if that is something you and your partner will be contributing to.
Six - You want good lighting
There is no point in having the most beautiful venue when the lighting is poor. Make sure there is plenty of listening whether it be candles or fairy lights, choose something that will compliment your theme. It will also work well for pictures.
Seven - Stay in control
Make a list of non-negotiable items that you want to be a part of your day. If you want doves to be released when you say "I do", or if you want fire dancers, then make it happen. You know you have the right venue if they allow you the freedom to do so.
Eight - Make sure you are happy
There is nothing more reassuring than getting butterflies in your stomach when you have picked your venue.
I hope that these few tips make choosing a venue easy and exciting. And I hope you have the most magical day. If you need any more help, I am also here.
