Relationships fail to fix personal problems , instead they may magnify them.

We cannot just sit in our deckchairs and watch our garden grow , we have to work in the garden.

It is really important to have relationship development time. This may mean going to a counsellor from time to time, attending courses and workshops or just spending intimate time together.

• Discuss feelings

• Give each other little surprises eg: gifts, flowers, notes, romantic dinners , planned weekends away

It is inappropriate to expect our partner to provide us with anything that we should be providing for ourselves .
